"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the POWER OF GOD". 1 Corinthians 1:18.
God sent His Son Jesus Christ, to make Fallen Man Spiritually and Physically whole. Jesus Christ shed His Blood at the whipping post and on THE CROSS. The complete atonement for sin and sickness. Jesus was made sin for us, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." 2 Corinthians 5:21. Jesus "...took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." Matthew 8:17. "...By whose stripes ye were healed." 1 Peter 2:24. Then on the cross Jesus said, "It is finished." The price had been paid. Jesus was, "...Delivered For Our Offences, and was RAISED AGAIN for our justification." Romans 4:25.
We read in Isaiah chapter 53 verses 4 and 5, Salvation and healing promised, "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded (or tormented) for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
The prophetic word was fulfilled, Jesus was whipped, shed His blood at the whipping post and on the cross and said it is finished. The complete atonement was fulfilled, after three days and three nights in the grave, Jesus rose triumphant from the dead. We read in St Matthew chapter 28 verses 5 and 6, "And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
Praise God He Is Risen. We serve a Risen Saviour, not a dead, formal religion! He Lives! Forty days after Jesus' resurrection He ascended to Heaven from mount Olivet and sat down at the right hand of God. He now makes intercession (for all that come unto God by him) for his Born Again Saints. We read in Hebrews chapter 7 verse 25, "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them". In Revelation 1:18 we read "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, amen; and have the keys of hell and of death". Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:17-22, " And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. BUT NOW IS CHRIST RISEN FROM THE DEAD, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ SHALL ALL BE MADE ALIVE."
Romans 10:8-10 says, " But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, and shalt believe in thine HEART that God hath RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED .For with the HEART man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
