"She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will SAVE His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is GOD]."
Matthew 1:21 (AMP).
I write to you concerning God's Love, God's plan of Salvation.
"Who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth." 1 Timothy 2:4 (AMP).
Because of the fall of man, sin entered into the world.
"Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned." Romans 5:12 (AMP).
Sin has separated, and is separating you from God, and if you remain in your sin, you will be separated from God for all eternity. The good news or the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that God has provided a remedy for your sin, the remedy to SAVE you from eternal damnation. This remedy is in his son JESUS CHRIST.
"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN (trusts in, clings to, relies on) HIM SHALL NOT PERISH (come to destruction, be lost) BUT HAVE ETERNAL (EVERLASTING) LIFE." John 3:16 (AMP). Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. Jesus who knew no sin was crucified, bled, and died for your sins, your substitute in your place, and rose again the third day. How great God's love is for mankind. The part you must do is to receive Jesus into your heart as YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOUR knowing as God's word promises:
"But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name [Isa. 56:5.] Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!]" John 1:12-13 (AMP).
If you have received Jesus as your Personal Saviour, through reading this short message, commit to reading the Bible every day and praying to God every day. Before you read, ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand and draw you closer to Him through reading His Holy Word. Praying may sound like a grand word, but really it just means talking to God. Spend time alone with God each day and just talk with Him. Then try to have fellowship at a church where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached in all its fullness.
I wrote this as a Gospel Leaflet, around 1963. We printed it ourselves. It was distributed all over the UK. by the team that worked with me then, and many Churches used it, stamping their names on the bottom of the leaflet. Approx' 6 million of this simple message of Salvation went out to the lost! Back then it was in the KJV, which I still use in my stories and Messages now! Those days we had a "Gospel Van" driven by Elder Leonard W. Reed. It was filled with all my Gospel leaflets, Tapes, etc, and this message "Jesus Saves". Often when I was preaching in various Churches, or our Deliverance Meetings, Elder Reed would be parked outside, ready for the people to come out of the meeting, to visit our mobile Gospel Van! Many wrote to our Office, who were saved by reading this Gospel Leaflet! ALL PRAISES TO JESUS!!
