Julie and Anne decided to go on a, shopping spree! They both loved buying new things. They waited for the bus, which seemed forever coming. Then at last it came around the corner, closely followed by another one! "Why, do they always seem to come together?" said Anne laughing.

They soon arrived at their destination. As they expected it was very crowded, but lots of fun. They were soon in, and out, of all different shops buying things they really needed, and things they didn't! Julie saw her boyfriend, and called out to him, " Frank, what are you doing here?" "I think he is buying himself yet another watch!" said Anne. Sure enough Frank was buying a watch! Julie said to him, " Not another watch, you have got hundreds of them Frank". "But I get a thrill out of buying things" Frank said. "But you soon get tired of what you buy, and have to buy again", said Julie. Frank just shrugged his shoulders!

I am sure most people reading this enjoy shopping, like I do and buying things for my various hobbies etc. When shopping becomes a problem is when one becomes a COMPULSIVE SHOPPER; a compulsive person, I expect, as you know is someone who really cannot stop doing something! Often this is caused by a VACUUM, an empty space in their heart that cannot be satisfied with material things, but can only be satisfied by a Spiritual rebirth by repenting and accepting Jesus Christ into their heart as their Personal Saviour, thus filling the empty void, filling the vacant gap!

If something is Vacant it is not usually occupied. We are all really like that before we become a Christian. We read in Romans Chapter ten verses nine and ten, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (KJV).

If you haven't already, why not make Jesus, Lord of your life?!
