Sandy was a farmer. He had a large farm that kept him very busy. He looked across his fields one day, and thought it was time he started ploughing. Sandy had made a wise decision to put his hand to the plough!

He started off well with nice straight furrows; everything was going just fine! Then Sandy started LOOKING BACK rather than paying attention to what lay before him. This effected his ploughing very much, his furrows were not straight and tidy anymore, he had gone so far off course they just looked a mess!

The Bible says in St Luke Chapter 9 verse 62 "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God" No man can follow Jesus, and keep looking back, thinking and desiring their old "worldly" ways, the "old man" all the lust of the flesh, has got to die!

We read in St Luke Chapter 9 verse 23, "And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me" The Words of Jesus.
